Manual Feed Generation
Regenerating rebuilds the feed file from your latest synced product data. Do it after you change products or feed settings and want the feed URL to show the changes straight away.
When to regenerate
Section titled “When to regenerate”- You changed feed settings (field mapping, filters, custom labels, shipping and so on)
- You edited products in Shopify or in Feedy and don’t want to wait for the schedule
- The Feeds list shows the feed as Outdated or Pending
- A previous generation failed (status Error)
Regenerate one feed
Section titled “Regenerate one feed”From the feed page:
- Go to Feeds and open the feed.
- Click Regenerate at the top.
- A progress bar shows how far along it is. When it finishes, the feed shows Ready and the time it was last generated.
From the Feeds list: open the row’s actions menu and click Regenerate.
From the dashboard: feeds that need attention show a Regenerate button in the feed activity list.
Regenerate several feeds
Section titled “Regenerate several feeds”- Go to Feeds.
- Tick the feeds you want.
- Click Regenerate selected.
- Confirm in Regenerate Feeds.
All selected feeds are queued and regenerate in the background.
How long it takes
Section titled “How long it takes”It depends on how many products the feed has. Generation runs in the background, so you can leave the page. The feed status shows Generating until it’s done.
After regenerating
Section titled “After regenerating”- Click Preview on the feed page to see the file (not available for protected feeds).
- Check the product count and the ready / errors / warnings summary in the feed header. Products with validation errors are left out.
- If Auto-upload to Google Merchant Center or FTP Auto-push after regeneration is turned on for the feed, those run automatically.
- Ad platforms pick up the new file the next time they fetch your feed URL. Public URLs can be cached for up to an hour.
If generation fails
Section titled “If generation fails”The feed status shows Error, and you get an email if Feed generation failures notifications are on. Try Regenerate again. If it keeps failing, see Feed Won’t Generate.
