Microsoft Advertising Feed
A Microsoft Advertising feed lists your products for Microsoft Shopping campaigns on Bing and partner sites. Microsoft feeds need the Growth, Scale or Pro plan, or an active trial.
Create the feed
Section titled “Create the feed”- Click Feeds, then Create New Feed.
- Under Platform, choose Microsoft Advertising.
- Enter a Feed Name, pick a Feed Format (TSV is the default) and set the Target Market.
- Choose your products, then review and create the feed.
What goes into a Microsoft feed
Section titled “What goes into a Microsoft feed”Each product appears once, using its first variant for price, SKU, barcode and stock. The feed includes the ID, title, description, link, main and extra images, price, availability, condition and brand, plus GTIN, MPN, identifier exists, product type, Google product category, age group, shipping weight and custom labels when the data exists.
Microsoft feeds use your Shopify product data plus the feed’s own settings (field mapping, custom labels and UTM). Edits on a product’s page in Feedy are stored for Google Shopping and don’t change your Microsoft feed.
Which products are left out
Section titled “Which products are left out”A product is left out of Microsoft feeds if it has no title, description, image or price, or if it has neither a GTIN (barcode) nor a brand. Missing GTIN, missing MPN when there’s no GTIN, and titles over 150 characters show as warnings. See Validation rules.
Add the feed to Microsoft Merchant Center
Section titled “Add the feed to Microsoft Merchant Center”- On the feed’s page, click Copy URL.
- In Microsoft Merchant Center, open your store and create a new feed that is fetched from a URL on a schedule.
- Paste the feed URL and set the fetch schedule.
Microsoft’s steps are in the Microsoft Advertising help. If the feed is protected, use the protected URL with your token. See Feed security.
Common problems
Section titled “Common problems”Products without barcodes are missing. Microsoft needs either a GTIN or a brand. Add a barcode in Shopify, or make sure the product has a vendor (Feedy uses the vendor as the brand).
I can’t create a Microsoft feed. You’re on the Starter plan. See Plans and pricing.
