Scheduling Automatic Feed Updates
A feed’s file only changes when Feedy regenerates it. Turn on a schedule so your feed keeps up with price, stock and product changes without you clicking Regenerate.
New feeds start with scheduling off. Scheduling is available on every plan.
Turn on a schedule
Section titled “Turn on a schedule”- Go to Feeds and open the feed.
- Expand the Schedule card.
- Tick Enable automatic feed regeneration.
- Choose a Schedule type (see below).
- Click Save.
The card shows Next scheduled run so you can check the timing.
Schedule types
Section titled “Schedule types”Every X hours
Section titled “Every X hours”Pick a Regenerate frequency: every 6, 12, 24 (daily), 48 or 72 hours, or weekly (168 hours).
These run at fixed times in UTC. For example, “Every 6 hours” runs at 00:00, 06:00, 12:00 and 18:00 UTC, “Every 24 hours” runs at midnight UTC, and “Weekly” runs on Sunday at midnight UTC.
At specific times
Section titled “At specific times”Use this when you want the feed ready at a particular local time, for example just before Google fetches it.
- Choose At specific times.
- Pick a Timezone (for example UTC, US/Eastern, Europe/London, Asia/Tokyo or Australia/Sydney).
- Under Run at these times, set an hour and minute (00, 15, 30 or 45). Click Add time for up to 4 times a day.
- Under Run on these days, pick days, or use Every day, Weekdays or Weekends.
Pause a schedule
Section titled “Pause a schedule”Tick Pause schedule and save. Automatic regeneration stops but your settings are kept. Untick it to resume.
What happens on each scheduled run
Section titled “What happens on each scheduled run”Each run regenerates the feed with your latest synced product data. Then, if turned on for that feed:
- Auto-upload to Google Merchant Center uploads products to GMC (see Direct Upload)
- Auto-push after regeneration sends the file to your FTP/SFTP server (see FTP/SFTP Delivery)
If a run fails and Feed generation failures emails are on in Settings, Feedy emails you. See Email Notifications.
Line up with your ad platform
Section titled “Line up with your ad platform”Ad platforms fetch your feed URL on their own schedule. Set Feedy to regenerate shortly before the platform fetches. Public feed URLs can be cached for up to an hour, so leave a gap. See Setting Up Feed URLs in GMC.
Keep product data fresh
Section titled “Keep product data fresh”A schedule regenerates from the products Feedy has synced. Keep product sync on so Shopify changes reach Feedy before each run.
