Pinterest Catalog Feed
A Pinterest Catalog feed gives Pinterest your product list for shopping pins and catalog ads. Pinterest feeds need the Growth, Scale or Pro plan, or an active trial.
Create the feed
Section titled “Create the feed”- Click Feeds, then Create New Feed.
- Under Platform, choose Pinterest Catalog.
- Enter a Feed Name, pick a Feed Format (TSV is the default) and set the Target Market.
- Choose your products, then review and create the feed.
What goes into a Pinterest feed
Section titled “What goes into a Pinterest feed”Each product appears once, using its first variant for price, SKU, barcode and stock. The feed includes the ID, title, description, link, main and extra images, price, availability, condition and brand, plus product type, Google product category, GTIN, MPN, age group, shipping weight and custom labels when the data exists.
Pinterest feeds use your Shopify product data plus the feed’s own settings (field mapping, custom labels and UTM). Edits on a product’s page in Feedy are stored for Google Shopping and don’t change your Pinterest feed.
Which products are left out
Section titled “Which products are left out”A product is left out of Pinterest feeds if it has no title, description, image or price. Warnings (the product stays in) appear for titles over 100 characters, descriptions over 500 characters and missing SKUs. See Validation rules.
Add the feed to Pinterest
Section titled “Add the feed to Pinterest”- On the feed’s page, click Copy URL.
- In your Pinterest business account, go to Catalogs and create a data source.
- Paste the feed URL, choose the format that matches your feed, and set the currency.
Pinterest’s steps are in the Pinterest Business help center. If the feed is protected, use the protected URL with your token. See Feed security.
Common problems
Section titled “Common problems”Pinterest warns that titles or descriptions are too long. Shorten them in Shopify, or map a shorter field in the feed’s Field Mapping card. See Field mapping.
I can’t create a Pinterest feed. You’re on the Starter plan. See Plans and pricing.
