Feed Formats (TSV, CSV, XML)
Feedy can build every feed in three formats. All three contain the same products and data. Pick the one your ad platform prefers.
| Format | What it is | Feedy’s recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| TSV | Tab-separated text file, one product per row | Default for Google, Facebook, Pinterest and Microsoft |
| CSV | Comma-separated file that opens in Excel or Google Sheets | Recommended for TikTok |
| XML | Structured file (listed as “Legacy format” in the app) | Works on all platforms if you prefer it |
When you change the platform in the feed wizard, Feedy picks the recommended format for you. You can still choose another one.
Set the format
Section titled “Set the format”- New feed: choose Feed Format in step 1 of Create New Feed.
- Existing feed: open the feed, change Feed Format in the Basic Settings card, save, then click Regenerate.
- Default for new feeds: set Feed format under Default Feed Settings on the Settings page. See App settings.
Changing the format also changes the end of the feed URL (.tsv, .csv or .xml). If you already gave the old URL to an ad platform, update it there.
Get another format without changing the feed
Section titled “Get another format without changing the feed”Add ?format= to the feed URL to get a different format generated on the fly:
https://feedy.lenuslabs.com/feeds/<feed-id>.tsv?format=csvYou can also use Download as in a feed’s row menu on the Feeds page to download a CSV or XML copy. See Feed URLs.
- Open a CSV feed in a spreadsheet to check your data quickly.
- If an ad platform rejects the file, check that the format you chose there matches the feed URL ending.
