Connecting to Google Merchant Center
Connecting Google Merchant Center (GMC) is optional. You can always give GMC your feed URL without connecting. Connecting adds:
- Product approval status from GMC (approved, pending, issues)
- GMC issue messages on each product page, marked From GMC
- Performance data on the dashboard (impressions, clicks, revenue)
- Direct upload of products, and automatic upload after a feed regenerates
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”You need:
- A Google Merchant Center account, and a Google login with access to it
- Your Merchant ID: the number shown in the top-right of Merchant Center, below your account name
- An API data source in Merchant Center, and its Data Source ID
To create an API data source in Merchant Center: go to the data sources area (Sources → Add source), choose to add products using the API, give it a name such as “Shopify Product Feed”, and copy the Data Source ID it creates. Google’s guide: support.google.com/merchants/answer/7439058.

Do I need to connect GMC to use Feedy? No. Feeds work without a connection. Add your feed URL in Merchant Center instead.
Can I connect more than one Merchant Center account? No. Each store connects one account. To switch, disconnect and connect the other account.
How are my Google credentials stored? Feedy stores the access tokens encrypted. You can remove them at any time by disconnecting.
