Required Product Attributes

Feedy checks every product against each platform’s rules. If a product has an error for a platform, Feedy leaves it out of that platform’s feeds until you fix it. Warnings and recommendations don’t block a product.

This page lists what causes errors. For the full list of warnings and recommendations, see Validation Rules.

A product is left out of Google Shopping feeds if any of these are missing:

Handmade, custom or vintage items often have no barcode. For these, open the product in Feedy and uncheck Identifier exists. Feedy then stops asking for a GTIN and adds identifier_exists set to false to the Google feed. You still need a brand.

  • On the Dashboard, click Fix Now on the “Fix N product errors” item in Recommended Actions, or the issues count in Catalog Health.
  • On the Products page, the status column shows which products are ready for Google Shopping and which need attention.
  • On a product’s page, the sidebar lists every issue for that product.
  • One product: open it from Products and fill in the fields. See Editing a Product’s Feed Data.
  • Many products: select them on Products and use Edit Brand, Edit GTIN, Edit Category or Edit Condition & Attributes. See Bulk Editing.
  • From Shopify: fix it in Shopify (images, prices, SKUs, barcodes, vendor). Feedy picks up the change automatically.
  • For a whole feed: use Field Mapping to pull a value from another Shopify field or a metafield.

Edits made in Feedy apply to Google Shopping feeds. For other platforms, fix the data in Shopify or through the feed’s field mapping.
