Importing and Exporting Feeds

You can copy feed settings between feeds or stores by exporting them to a JSON file and importing that file. You can also start a feed from an existing feed file from another app.

  1. Click Feeds and open the feed.
  2. Click Export in the header.

Feedy downloads a JSON file with the feed’s name, platform, format, feed type, target market, field mappings, UTM settings, custom labels, shipping, schedule settings, identifier options and product filter rules (all products or by collection, stock and image rules, tag filters).

The file doesn’t include passwords, FTP details, security tokens or your selected collections.

  1. On the Feeds page, click Import Feed.
  2. Under Import type, choose Configuration file (JSON).
  3. Add the JSON file you exported.
  4. Check the summary, enter a name and market for the new feed, and confirm.

Use this to start from a feed you made in another app.

  1. On the Feeds page, click Import Feed.
  2. Under Import type, choose Feed file (XML, CSV, TSV).
  3. Add the file (up to 50MB). Feedy reads it and detects its columns.
  4. Review the column matches. Feedy checks the file’s columns against Google Shopping attributes. For each column you can pick a different attribute, or choose Ignore this column. Feedy warns you about duplicate matches and missing required attributes.
  5. Enter a name and market for the new feed and confirm.

File imports always create a Google Shopping feed, in the same format as your file, whatever platform the file was made for. Then click Regenerate to build it from your Shopify products. For another platform, create the feed with Create New Feed instead.

Past imports are listed on the Feeds page with their file name, result (success, partial or failed) and any warnings or errors. Open an entry to see the details. Failed imports can be retried from there.
